The thumbnail images in the MY PHOTOS windows of PDv4 are actually graphical links to the original image files. By moving the image files, you broke the link to the original storage location and thus you see the 'green shield', meaning the file cannot be found.
However, that "MY PHOTOS" window with PDv4 is actually linked to the original Adobe image manager, Adobe ActiveShare, and was installed when you installed PDv4.
Here's are some possible workarounds:
1. Get and use the new image manager, Adobe Photoshop Album. Use the "get files" function and navigate to the new location, thus creating new thumbnails within PSA. Photoshop Album can easily be configured to edit images using PhotoDeluxe. Thus, as you edit images, changes are updated in the image manager, PSA.
2. The harder way, is to open Adobe ActiveShare. You will see the familiar albums, like "MY PHOTOS". But the image links probably don't work because you moved the image files outside of the image manager. So, Delete the current albums (termed 'catalogs'), recreate them by either one of two methods:
Method 1: use the IMPORT function (preferred), to create new thumbnails of your images residing in their current new location. However, doing this method actually COPIES the image file to a subfolder of the ActiveShare folder. So you will end up with two copies of everything, however this method is great when IMPORTING from a digicam card.
Method 2: using Windows Explorer, highlight all thumbnails and click and drag to the appropriate Adobe ActiveShare album. This will create links to the original location.
I prefer Method 1, as all images are kept in tight control by ActiveShare, in very specific locations. Using Method 2, images within a single album may reside all over the place and in no particular location, where they get accidentally deleted or moved!
Your better off with Photoshop Album! As much as I loved ActiveShare, it's time to make the move.
"Let the image manager manage the images!"
